DOMADIA MuMetal is a nickel–iron soft magnetic alloy known for its exceptionally high magnetic permeability and very low magnetic coercivity, making it a prime choice for shielding applications against static and low-frequency magnetic fields.

It is considered non-magnetic in practical applications, meaning it does not retain significant magnetization after being exposed to a magnetic field. This behavior is due to its low remanence and coercive force. However, in strict scientific terms, it is still classified as a soft magnetic material rather than completely non-magnetic like copper or plastic.

MuMetal provides outstanding shielding performance against electromagnetic interference (EMI), electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) disturbances, and radio-frequency interference (RFI), especially in the low-frequency spectrum (30 Hz–300 Hz). Unlike conductive materials used in RF shielding, MuMetal excels in absorbing and redirecting magnetic field lines through its structure. Shielding Applications
