Tungsten Copper Rods – Alloy WCu 80:20
Alloyed Tungsten Copper Rods WCu 80:20 – melted for extreme heat, arc & wear resistance. Ideal for EDM, aerospace & welding.Tungsten Copper Alloy WCu 80:20 is a true molten alloy, created by melting and alloying 80% tungsten and 20% copper into a uniform, high-performance metal. It combines the strength, density, and heat resistance of tungsten with the superior thermal and electrical conductivity of copper, making it ideal for critical applications where other alloys fail under pressure, temperature, or arc load.Manufacturing Process: Melted & Alloyed
Unlike conventional tungsten-copper materials that are produced through sintering and infiltration, WCu 80:20 alloy rods are manufactured by melting both tungsten and copper together at high temperatures to form a homogeneous alloy. This process ensures:
Uniform metal distribution at the microstructural level
Improved metallurgical bonding between tungsten and copper
Greater structural integrity
Higher resistance to delamination, thermal fatigue, and erosion
The alloy offers enhanced conductivity, machinability, and longer service life—especially in high-load industrial environments.
Chemical Composition| Element | Composition (%) |
